OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- A.M. Best Co. has affirmed the financial strength rating of A+ (Superior) and issuer credit ratings of "aa-" of Sompo Japan US Group (US Group) and its members. The US Group is comprised of Sompo Japan Insurance Company of America and its wholly owned reinsured subsidiary, Sompo Japan Fire and Marine Insurance Company of America. The outlook for all ratings is stable. All companies are domiciled in New York, NY, unless otherwise specified.

The ratings for the US Group reflect its excellent capitalization, continued parental support and improved operating results. The US Group benefits from its affiliation with Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. (Sompo Japan) (Tokyo, Japan), one of the largest property/casualty insurers in Japan.
